How to change the default Browser to Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 10 Enterprise and Professional via GPO

1. Require windows 10 test Machines with changed the default browser to IE 11 and ADK 10 Installed.

2. Export default application association settings using command line :- Dism /Online /Export-DefaultAppAssociations:C:\defaultassociations.xml.

Must run it in Deployment and Imaging Tools Environment command prompt.

3. Open your Group Policy editor and go to the Administrative Templates\Windows Components\File Explorer\Set a default associations configuration file setting.Turning this setting on also requires you to create and store a default associations configuration file, locally or on a network share.

If locally you require to copy the defaultassociations.xml to all the computers.

4. Recommend copy the defaultassociations.xml file to file server and share it to everyone as a read access. Example :- \\SCCMCB\sources\IEBrowser\defaultassociations.xml

5. Click Enabled, and then in the Options area, type the location to your default associations configuration file.

If this setting is turned on and your employee's device is domain-joined, this file is processed and default associations are applied at logon. If this setting isn't configured or is turned off, or if your employee's device isn't domain-joined, no default associations are applied at logon.
